Entertainment
I have always been a lover of music, movies, books and theatre.
My very first job was at a Blockbuster video store (renting out VHS!) followed by Sanity Music. Once I hit 18, I worked in many music venues with a love of live music (and collecting signed posters, CDs and assorted band merch) fuelling my industry knowledge and artistic flair.
When it came to journalism gigs, my first was with local street rags and focused on the entertainment industry. I continue to write about all things entertainment news today.
If you’re keen to get the media spotlight on an event, production, artist or band get in contact. I’d love to be a part of your project.

I hate to toot my own horn, but this cover story was also my third BMA cover in a row — so toot toot!

Read my article about the production with actor PJ Williams and Director Caroline Stacey for BMA.
I also added a fun little quiz at the end of the article as an interactive way to increase article engagement, promote the play and see more bums on theatre seats.
BOOK REVIEW: I am a book lover and I’ve been a fan of Lily Allen since her early days so this job was hardly a chore!
Published in Canberra’s iconic BMA this deep dive into the past, present and future of the Brit-pop diva was a joy to research and write.
Happy reading!

A smooth voice that flows over you like melted butter, dreamy chords and piano keys to graze your ears gently, the occasional strum of a guitar or ambient sounds wafting across your consciousness … the debut album from Endrey, Lost + Found, is a captivating pleasure for the senses.
A Melbourne based duo, supporting the idea of decommissioning Canberra, a self-appointed Order of Australia member, a family worth millions, a privileged upbringing, and the last time they were here, they ended up yelling at their audience, “why do you even live here?! Canberra is too small!” It sounds like there isn’t a lot to like about CLIENT LIAISON. But, somehow there is.
It feels an age since we last heard from one of Australia’s ethereal pop princesses, but the warm lyrical embrace of Lisa Mitchell still feels so familiar. A decade on from her start in Australian Idol, Mitchell has again offered up dreamy melodies and enchanting lyrics throughout her latest album, Warriors.
FEATURE ARTICLE: One of my regular pieces of content for Canberra entertainment magazine, BMA. Interviews with artists can take place over the phone, email or in person. This was an email interview, but I managed to pull a number of good quotes from the young musician.
After honing his set on US audiences, Australia’s JUST A GENT is landing his airy electro tunes and sparkly production in Canberra this month, as he tours his latest LP Stories to Tell.
“The break up wasn’t nasty, we just weren’t talking anymore,” THE GETAWAY PLAN’s frontman Matthew Wright recounts, proving silence isn’t always golden. The Melburnian alternative rock band experienced a meteoric rise to fame fresh out of school, with their debut single Where the City Meets The Sea climbing to #6 on the ARIA Aussie Singles Chart.
